How we use your data
We collect and use your data for a number of reasons, for example to enable you to attend the events you love, to share news, for promotional purposes and for other reasons required by law.
What data we have & where we get it from

    • When you create an account or purchase a product from us (such as a ticket or merchandise), we collect your contact and billing information.
    • If you purchase tickets for one of our events or an event that we are co-hosting, we will receive your data from official ticket outlets that have been used to sell tickets for our promoted and co-promoted events or for the venues we have hired. This includes your name, contact details and ticket purchase information, such as the number of tickets and seat number(s).
    • If you attend one of our events, we may collect your data via (i) CCTV cameras (signs will indicate where the cameras are being used), (ii) our free wifi (if you register to use it) and, if available, (iii) cashless payments via wristbands that can be used to access events and make purchases at the event.
    • When you use our website or our apps, we collect data such as the browser and device you use, your IP address, your location, the website you visited, what you did and did not use our website/apps for, or the page you visited after you left us. For more information on how we collect this data, please see our Cookie Policy.
    • If you use a social media function on our website or in our apps and post on social networks, the social network website will provide us with data about you.
    • If you have accessibility requirements, we want to ensure that you can enjoy participating in events. To do this, we will need to collect information about your special needs (which may mean that you need to provide information about your mental or physical health).
    • In the few cases in which we collect personal data from children, we always obtain parental consent and will only collect this data for the purposes specified at the time of collection.
    • We use suppliers who collect geo-demographic data that allows us to better personalize our services to you. If you do not agree with this, please read the section “Your rights and choices” below.
How we use your data & why

This section explains how we use your data and the legal basis on which we do so.

1.    To fulfill your contract with us

We use your data when you enter into a contract with us (e.g. to purchase merchandise or tickets) in order to:

·      to process your order,

·      accept payments, and

·       to offer you customer support.

2.     For legitimate business interests

·      To conduct market research and analysis to improve and customize our products and services.

·      For our advertising purposes, unless your consent is required for advertising (see section 3, below).

·      To send you customer service emails with booking confirmations and appointment reminders.

·      To prevent or detect unlawful behavior, to protect or enforce our legal rights or to any other extent permitted by law. We do this, for example, to ensure that tickets end up in the hands of “genuine fans”. We may therefore use your data to prevent the sale of tickets on black markets, the misuse of our intellectual property (e.g. our or our event partners’ brands), fraud or other criminal offenses.

·      To create a profile about you that allows us to personalize our services to you. For example, if you buy tickets to pop events and have consented to our advertising, we will let you know about other pop events that may interest you..

About your personalization settings

We can provide you with more of what you are interested in if we know you better. To ensure that our communications and our website are relevant to you, we create a user profile with the data we have about you and your use of our services.

You can deactivate personalization as follows

Simply deactivate “Allow personalization” in your account settings. We will stop any personalization and only use your data for basic services, such as checking for fraud.

What happens if you switch off personalization?

We will no longer use your data to determine what your interests are. This means that you will no longer receive personalized recommendations and that any newsletters you have subscribed to will be generic (but if you have requested notifications about specific artists or venues, we will continue to send these to you).

We will continue to carry out profiling activities to the extent necessary to provide you with our services, for example for the purpose of fraud screening, and where you specifically request this, for example by following a particular artist.

Is switching off personalization the same as switching off cookies?

No, these are different processes. To check your cookie settings, you can use our cookie consent tool. You can find more information in our cookie policy.

·      To ensure the security of our business operations and those of our event partners.

3.   If you have given your consent

•              To send you information or offers about our upcoming events, products or services – which may be via email, push and web notifications, SMS or social media platforms. You can change your promotional preferences at any time, see section “Your choices and rights” below.

•                To provide you with location-based services – such as our festival apps that allow you to see yourself on the map, so we can use your location to send you push notifications and let you know what’s happening around you.

•                To perform crowd management analytics – some of our apps use crowd management software so we can see how many people are in front of a particular stage, or at what times the bars are at their busiest. This allows us to use our resources more efficiently. We turn the software on just before the festival or event and turn it off just after, so we don’t track devices when it’s not necessary.

•              To provide customized advertising and marketing communications to you on our websites and apps (see our cookies policy for more information)

•                The processing of your health data in order to meet your accessibility requirements, insofar as this is explicitly requested and explicit consent has been given.

Who we share your data with & why

·      Within the Live Nation Entertainment group of companies, which provides us with services such as marketing, profiling, billing and technical support.

·      Our third-party providers (sometimes called data processors), such as cloud computing providers, who provide the IT infrastructure on which our products and systems are built.

·      Our co-organizers or event partners who organize or provide certain services at an event (in accordance with their privacy policies).

·      Third parties who provide goods and services purchased by you (e.g. merchandise) so that they can process and fulfill your orders.

·      Governmental or other authorized bodies, to the extent permitted or required by law

·      Any legal successor to our company or a part thereof
