Alcohol

Children and teenagers under 16 are not allowed to consume alcohol. Teenagers under 18 are not allowed to consume liquors or drinks with liquors (mixed drinks). If there is any doubt about the age of a person the staff will ask for their ID.

Alcohol Prevention

«Happylicious»-Lounge – by Perspektive Thurgau

Refreshing water straight from the fountain, a crisp apple from Thurgau and “handy” tips regarding alcohol and sex – this and more is available at the “Happylicious”-Lounge right next to the South Stage. When you drink you become more reckless and you could make decision you’ll regret later. During the festival you should drink a sufficient amount of non-alcoholic drinks and eat enough! This helps staying fit and clear in the head. A sensible atmosphere and comfortable Air Lounges invite you to sit and relax.

Look after yourself, stay fit and safe.

Animals

Music festivals are torture for animals. Therefore: please leave your beloved pets at home. We also cannot allow animals for hygienic reasons. Thank you for your understanding.

Arrive by Car

Visitors will find the parking areas after the exit “Frauenfeld West” on the A7 Autobahn. If you have a VIP ticket, use the exit “Frauenfeld Ost” to get to the VIP parking.

Arrive by Train

We and our logistics partner SBB offer a relaxed alternative to a car journey. More information and schedules can be found here! (as soon as they’re available)

Box Office

Depending on the demand there will be tickets available at the box office. The following additional costs apply:

TICKET ADDITIONAL FEE
3-Day Ticket (Thu, Fr, Sa) + CHF 20
2-Day Ticket (Fr + Sa) + CHF 15
1-Day Ticket (Sa) + CHF 10

Bracelets

The tickets have to be replaced with a festival bracelet at the entrance. The bracelet has to be worn tightly around the wrist. Lost, broken or opened bracelets are not valid anymore. It also doubles as a proof of age. It will only be given to you if you have a valid identity document (e.g. ID) with you!

Buildings

For security reasons, buildings of any sort are not allowed on the camping grounds.

Cash

We have two cash corners on location – one in the entrance area, the other on the festival grounds.

If you arrive with Euros, you can exchange them to CHF in the cash corners.

Camping

Camping in tents is not only allowed, but also desired. The camping grounds (A-C and VIP camping) are right next to the festival grounds. They are officially open from Thursday, 6th of July 2017, at 8 am to Sunday 4 pm. Exceptions:  refer to “early admission to the camping grounds”

Camping on the camping grounds B and C is free, as the price is included in the tickets. We offer a camping upgrade on camping ground A. You can find more details about this in the “Tickets” menu.

You’ll also have to put in a deposit of CHF 20.- for every tent you bring. If you take your tent back home with you at the end of the festival, you’ll get your money back. More information in the “tent deposit” menu.

Couches and other bulky items are not allowed on the grounds. More information in the “Prohibited“ menu.

Restrictions on beverages

If you want to take your own beverages on the camping grounds, you’ll be allowed to take 3 litres of drinks once. Aluminium cans are allowed, glass bottles are prohibited. You’re allowed to take one 0.5l PET bottle per person with you on the festival grounds.

There’s a Migros store in the village between the camping grounds A, B and C, where you can buy food and non-foods, as well as cold drinks. There is also free drinking water on the grounds (refer to drinking water supply).

The security on the camping grounds will allocate you to a place where you can pitch your tent.

Charging

Empty battery? Then charge your phone at the MTV mobile booth! And that’s free – no matter if you give your phone to Doc Mobile or charge it at one of the charging-tables.

Conservation

The festival grounds are located close to a nature reserve. We have developed extensive measures to protect this area with the responsible committee. We ask our visitors to respect and abide to them.

Credit Cards

We do not accept credit cards, but you can take out money with them at the cash corner.

Deposit (Drinks)

You’ll have to pay a deposit of CHF 2.- for every drink you buy. You’ll get it back at every bar and refreshment stands.

Disability Accessibility

The festival and the camping grounds are both wheelchair accessible, except for the premium area, which is only partially accessible. There are disabled toilets and thanks to the Cerebral foundation there is also a wheelchair accessible platform from which you can view the stage. You can take one accompanying person with you to these areas.

Please consider that the Openair Frauenfeld is held on an open area. Depending on the weather manoeuvring a wheelchair can be hard. We will do our best to keep as many paths as possible wheelchair accessible.

Drinking Water Supply

The drinking water supplies are identified on the camping grounds and the festival grounds.

Drugs are prohibited inside the festival grounds (just like everywhere else in Switzerland). The addiction care is on site to help you with questions about alcohol and drugs.

No matter if you want “traditional” Swiss food, Asian, Mexican, Italian or vegetarian food – there’s no lack of it. And all of that for a fair price.

Restrictions on beverages: If you want to take your own beverages on the camping grounds, you’ll be allowed to take 3 litres of drinks once. Aluminium cans are allowed, glass bottles are prohibited. You’re allowed to take one 0.5l PET bottle per person with you on the festival grounds.

If you take your tent back home at the end, you’ll get your money back. The tent deposit vouchers are available here!

Tickets are available at Starticket.

Trash

A lot of people mean a lot of trash. We’d like to ask for your support, not only for your own comfort but also for the environment. There are designated “Trash-islands” (including separate containers for PET and ALU) on the entire festival grounds. These are a big help for our cleaning crew, which is working night and day.

We implemented a tent deposit to reduce the amount of trash even more. This means you’ll have to pay CHF 20.- for every tent you bring with you. If you take your tent back home at the end of the festival, you’ll get your money back.
